Dear Family Members:
On Saturday, December 28th, 2013 the third meeting of the James Williams, Sr. and Creacy Stewart Family Reunion Executive (Steering) Committee was held at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, Room 208 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. We had a very productive and detailed meeting. Chairperson for the 2014 family reunion present (Doris Spooner Hall). With family emergencies, Florence Bernard James could not be present. In addition, two of our Co-Chairperson were present (Diane Carter Helire) and (Sannadean Carter Sims).
A special thanks to all of the members who were in attendance and involved in the executive (steering) committee. This is a very special and committed group of family members, and we are very lucky and blessed to have all of them so involved. Once again, some of our family members could not attend, but expressed deep concern and regrets. We had many new members to attend the meeting who had never attended before such as: Cora Stewart and Chelette. These family members have been very supportive through telephone calls and conversations without being present. The committee appreciate their hearts, spirit, and minds in the right direction. We desire for everyone in the families to be active in this reunion for 2014. Plans are being made to make everyone comfortable and easy to manage their payments for the reunion. The committees have all worked hard and diligently.

Meeting Adjourned
I am so very happy and pleased at this date with motivation, excitement, and happiness that we are reaching our goals as planned. We ask for blessings, good weather, cheers, and joy at this reunion. We pray that the Good Lord, Jesus Christ will be with us all the way. I am so pleased that we all worked together so well and beautifully!! It is going to be great, we must hold the faith in all aspects spiritually, financially, and family love.

Special Thanks: The Chairmen and Co-Chairmen would like to extend a heart warming appreciation to Le Roy (Priest) Helire and Diane Carter Helire for sharing their church and hospitality to all of us during the third family reunion meeting. Everything was just great and lovely, and the food was delicious – Thank you so very much!!
In Prayer
We will constantly pray for our families, and especially those who have lost love ones. We must remember at this time all of our family members and cousins in a special way, and the latest ones who departed from us, Mr. Wilmore Williams, Mr. Robert Cecil Williams, and Dr. Felix James who were all very dedicated and loyal to their families with love. Dr. James was the husband of one of our chairpersons for the 2014 Family Reunion, Florence Bernard James (wife), who resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Wilmore Williams and Mr. Robert Cecil Williams were the brothers of Mrs. Shirley Mae Swain who resides in Chicago, Illinois. I was so very happy that I was in town to attend the Celebration of Life with family to share moments with Mr. Robert Cecil Williams and family; also, Dr. Felix James in New Orleans, Louisiana and family. Any other family member that I have left out, my sympathy goes out to all of our family members. Regretfully, Mr. Wilmore Williams my dear cousin I know well, and have known all of my life, he was in my prayers and heart with love, and just could not attend with his immediate family. I was there in spirit and love, and we must remember that he spoke to us:
Through love and many telephone calls with family members weekly
He visited family when he could and was in town
He communicated with family members about their own family members located in California
He was kind, caring, loving, and just a remarkable family member with his own family as a husband, friend, father, brother, and just a great wise man!!
We must think of family members that have gone in peace and love with the Lord in prayer and abide that God knows best!!
We Must Remember
Lord, I thank You for the joy of celebration!! Help us to be a family who remembers and gathers together – not just for birthdays and holidays, but even to celebrate the little blessings of life. As we laugh and play, eat and drink, challenge and encourage on another, we are thankful for all that You have done in our lives.
May we have good memories of our family celebrations!!
